Flow Battery North America (FBNA) 2026 in Phoenix provided an excellent platform for international exchange on innovative energy storage technologies. KUSTAN was represented by Jan Bamberg, Nick Hennen and Christian Papmahl and was proud to support the event as a sponsor.

Strong Partnership with BIOZEN
One of the highlights was the presentation of the latest generation of REDOXINO, a compact flow battery testing system developed by our partner BIOZEN. The technology attracted considerable interest among conference attendees.
As BIOZEN’s manufacturing partner for the REDOXINO testing systems, KUSTAN plays an important role in bringing this innovative technology to market. During the conference, both companies reaffirmed their strong partnership and took further steps towards the commercialization of the technology.
Exciting Insights into the Future of Flow Battery Technology
The conference program featured numerous insightful presentations and panel discussions. Particularly noteworthy were Kees van Kerken’s update on the European flow battery industry and the presentation of innovative stack manufacturing concepts by Volterion.
KUSTAN also actively contributed to the technical discussions: Nick Hennen moderated a panel discussion on the role of energy storage technologies, including flow batteries, in rural energy projects.
Strengthening International Partnerships
Beyond technological innovation, networking and collaboration were key priorities throughout the event. Discussions with our partners BIOZEN, STRYTEN and STORION, as well as numerous other industry representatives, opened up valuable opportunities for future projects and cooperation.
